Today they gathered materials to share and rode the train into Manchester. They were given 2 1/2 hours to try street-contacting for the first time.

"A group of pleased missionaries. They now know they can do hard things. They have talked to strangers on the street about the gospel and shared their testimonies of the joy it brings to their lives." -- Sister Williams |
Excerpt from Christian's June 19 e-mail:
We
went and preached in Manchester which was.....eye opening. Most people didn’t really listen but a few did. I handed out some pamphlets and what not. It
seems like a place Sean would like. It
was great. I loved the city. There were cool buildings and I met some cool
people.
We
didn’t have much success because every conversation we would have my companion
would jump right to asking people to come to church even before we told them which
church we were from. He is quite the
guy. As you can imagine, people never said yes, but rather, they walked away
with very puzzled looks on their faces.
Things
with my companion have been good. I found out he is kind of autistic, but nonetheless we have fun and make things
happen. He is a great guy.
